Being told your pet needs surgery can be a scary time for any owner. However, Dr. Johnson and our experienced staff are here to help ease your worries and give your pet the best outcome possible. During each surgery, your pet’s vital signs are continuously monitored including heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen levels. Dr. Johnson may recommend pre-surgical bloodwork, especially in senior pets. This bloodwork can indicate issues that may not be seen on a physical exam and ensures us that anesthesia can be safely administered to your pet. Following surgery, your pet will be monitored closely as they begin to recover.
Our staff will review postoperative care and medication instructions with you. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office and we are happy to help.
